Respects today to two Luton teenage heroes of World War One on the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Jutland. Arthur Olney, pictured left, and Frederick George Darby were both still only 16 when they were lost serving as signal boys on two British warships (HMS Queen Mary and HMS Black Prince) sunk during the huge naval battle on May 31st, 1916. Their mothers lived in Hibbert Street and Princess Street respectively at the time and their boys’ bodies were never found for burial.
